Amabala, a first-time mother born at the facility herself in 2020, has captivated viewers with her patient and attentive care. The cubs, all female, are part of a critical Species Survival Plan (SSP) managed by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, designed to maintain a healthy and genetically diverse population of cheetahs in North America.
