Open the extracted folder and locate the executable file (usually named FirstChip_MpTool.exe ).
The drive shows up as or "No Media" in Disk Management. The disk is locked in a Write-Protected state.
When finished, the tool will display (or a green checkmark) for your drive port. The drive may show a different capacity if bad blocks were remapped.
Choose Low-Level Scan (ECC) if the drive has serious corruption or bad sectors. Choose High-Level Format if the drive is recognized but simply write-protected.
