The .iso format is a universal archive format recognized by almost all operating systems. Assuming you have placed the installer app into your Applications folder, copy and paste the following command into the Terminal, then press Enter: sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction

You must change your system clock back to a date in 2014 before starting the installation.

If you previously "purchased" Mavericks when it was released (it was a free "purchase"), it should still be available in your Purchased tab for re-download.
